Dear Utah,
Goodbye. Goodbye rain, and snow, and nasty, ugly, cold weather (IN JUNE!!). Can’t say it’s been a fun summer, so I’m going elsewhere to find it. Here’s to bluer skies, and Dungeness Crab on the beach, and delicious new sights and smells. You’re just too emo for me right now. The grey and the crying… not very attractive. Maybe we could work things out later, but for now your grey is just too depressing. So I’m out. I just can’t take it anymore.
The Oregon Coast has offered me something you haven’t been able to lately. We’ll be starting North and camping our way down the coast, in case you were wondering. It’s all so new and exciting. I’m sorry you had to find out this way, it just sorta happened. I’m excited to taste new foods, and do new things. And I’m excited to wear my sandals and shorts. I’ll send postcards and happy pictures, since I’m pretty sure you no longer know what my smile looks like. I’m just too young for frown lines.
By the time you get this, we’ll already be on the road. We’ll be back someday. Work on your blue skies and warm weather, and I’ll work on missing you.
Here’s something to remember us by:
Take care,
me
P.S. Oregon has Sea Lions… maybe you should get some too. Just a thought.
