I’m so excited to finally be able to share Phoenix’s newborn pictures! I am so happy with how these turned out. They seriously take my breath away. I’ll tell you, there was a point at which I didn’t think I’d be able to pull it off. I was so exhausted and the thought of shopping for outfits and cleaning the house made me want to weep. I managed to scrape together pieces we already had, and I went out one day for literally 1 hour to find something for me and Eddie. That’s all I had the energy for and let me tell you it was SO WORTH IT. At the store I’m sure I looked like a hot mess. I hadn’t showered, barely did my hair and threw on whatever (probably something I found on the floor that passed the smell test), and now I look at these pictures and I’m so glad I pushed through. Literally, standing in line at Gap, I kept thinking “I hope this is worth it”. I can’t say it enough, IT IS WORTH IT. If you’re at that place where you’re not sure if it will pay off, just book the photographer… just do it. I promise you won’t regret it. These photos are so precious to me. The newborn fog passes without really experiencing it, even now I look back at these and go, was I there? But I was and you know what, I’m so glad I had someone there to capture the fog when I wasn’t able to be fully present. I only feel good feelings when I look at these.
Thank you, sweet dear Haley!! I love you and I can’t tell you how much I love these memories. You’ve given me a gift. Xoxo!
